Nyundo is a Chartered Environmentalist, Director of AESC and Principal Consultant. His professional experiences have focused mostly on African mining and power projects in countries such as Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Mauritania and South Africa.

His key skills include management of Environmental Social and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) to international standards (International Finance Corporation / World Bank and Equator Principles), Equator Principles due diligence for financial institutions, environmental baseline studies, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), project management, environmental management systems and auditing.

Alex is a social research consultant with over 15 years of experience in Social Impact Assessment (SIA). Alex has carried out research and assessments in the mining, oil and gas, agriculture and power sectors across Africa, completing a number of studies to International Finance Corporation (IFC) standards.

She has extensive experience in conducting field research and socio-economic surveys, undertaking policy and literature reviews, managing and analysing data, undertaking stakeholder engagement and communication processes, authoring Social Impact Assessment (SIA) and Resettlement Action Planning (RAP) reports, baseline and review documents, and social management planning tools, as well as conducting resettlement planning and monitoring.

Karsten leads the water and physical-environment work on Armitage assignments, covering hydrology, hydrogeology and water quality.

He also designs and delivers environmental monitoring programmes, including air quality and noise assessment, for impact assessments and compliance reviews.

Catherine is an Ecologist/environmentalist with 15 years’ experience in environmental and social management which includes prefeasibility (screening), feasibility (scoping), impact assessments and development of mitigation measures. Catherine is excellent at stakeholder engagement and mobilization at both community and government levels with strong language and interpersonal skills.

She provides tutoring and mentorship for undergraduates at University of Zambia, and has conducted social surveys for Innovations for Poverty Action as well as baseline surveys (ecology and social), and impact assessment for numerous Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs). She has received training on Health and Safety (NEBOSH), ISO 14001, climate change issues and sustainable development. She has a wide range of work experience covering various aspects of environmental management across different developments and parts of Zambia.

Sheila brings more than 20 years’ experience in agricultural systems to Armitage’s resettlement and social work.

She specialises in livelihood restoration, social assessment and resettlement planning, helping affected households re-establish productive livelihoods.

Phillip brings more than 11 years’ experience to socio-economic baselines, resettlement surveys and social data management, and leads field teams on Armitage’s social and resettlement assignments.

His background in banking, capital markets and business administration underpins his project management, and he is proficient in ArcGIS field tools including Survey123.

A former Regional Director of the National Heritage Conservation Commission with 35 years in archaeology and heritage management, Billiard has expertise in managing the collection of essential information for heritage assessment reports, site and resource management, exhibition and interpretation, as well as the evaluation and analysis of archaeological debris and surface finds.

Billiard is also skilled in determining the significance of resources and assessing their conservation and preservation needs.

Mwika supports social impact assessments and Resettlement Action Plans in the field, leading household and asset surveys.

He works closely with communities and traditional leaders throughout engagement and survey programmes.

Timothy supervises Armitage’s field teams, running digital data collection with Survey123 and socio-economic surveys.

He is responsible for field logistics and data quality control from enumeration through to submission.

Kaoma supports community consultation and survey administration on Armitage projects.

She documents stakeholder meetings and uses visual storytelling to communicate project information clearly to communities and clients.

Natalie supports monitoring and evaluation, demographic analysis and the management of project databases.

She focuses on data quality assurance, making sure social and resettlement data are accurate, complete and ready for analysis.

Chanda has more than five years’ experience in field supervision and resettlement surveys.

He also carries out water, air quality and noise monitoring for environmental baselines and compliance programmes.

Nicholas specialises in vegetation assessment, habitat mapping and the Zambian flora.

He is a co-founder of the Zambezi Horticultural and Botanical Research Institute and leads botanical baselines on Armitage assignments.

William covers entomology, herpetology and small mammals.

He has delivered faunal baselines for mining, tailings, solar, hydropower and railway projects in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Moses is a Senior Lecturer at the Copperbelt University.

He leads bird surveys, threatened-species assessment and biodiversity data analysis for Armitage’s ecological studies.

Malama holds a bachelor of engineering in Geomatic Engineering from the University of Zambia. He is passionate about Geographic Information Systems and has trained various organisations some of which include Self Help Africa, Zambia Revenue Authority and Zambia Army.

He has also done studies in Project Management and Business Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Malama is a member of the Chartered Management Institute in London and also the Engineering Institute of Zambia.

Raymond leads the design, development and management of the digital data and software systems that support Armitage’s environmental and social consulting projects across Zambia, bridging data management with full-stack software development to turn operational requirements into practical digital solutions.

He architects and builds the firm’s Environmental and Social Management Systems, ESG platforms that consolidate compliance, monitoring and disclosure data, and Grievance Management Systems that capture, track and resolve stakeholder concerns, alongside robust QA/QC systems. He develops enterprise web applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js and Vite.

Before joining Armitage, Raymond spent almost five years at Emerging Cooking Solutions (SupaMoto), most recently as Senior Manager, Data, Systems and Fintech. He led API standardisation with mobile network operators, payment service providers and banks, built dashboards tracking transaction volumes, fraud trends and service levels, and embedded AML, cybersecurity and data protection controls across digital platforms.

With more than eight years of experience across Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique, Raymond holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, is a Master of Business Administration (MBA) candidate and is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Sydney leads compensation valuation for mining, road, airport and utility projects.

He is a member of the Surveyors Institute of Zambia and anchors the valuation work behind Armitage’s Resettlement Action Plans.

Tapiwa brings more than ten years’ experience in project governance, digital delivery systems and quality assurance.

He oversees Armitage’s operations and project management office, keeping delivery on time and to standard.

Kombe manages regulatory submissions, compliance and project documentation for Armitage.

She also advises on contractual risk and is the first point of contact for administration enquiries.
